Book Review: My Sister's Keeper

Last night I finished the book My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and it was probably one of the best books I have ever read! Most of you have probably have seen the movie, but if you haven't the books about a young girl, Anna, who's sister has cancer. Her parent conceived her  to be a perfect match to be a donor to her sister to help her survive and beat the cancer. Anna files a lawsuit against her parents because she no longer wants to be a donor to her sister.
The story is very heart touching, and makes you appreciate your friends and family, and life. This book made me laugh, and towards the end cry! I really recommend reading it!

In the comments below let me know if you have read the book, and what your thoughts are. If not, leave book suggestions! Sorry for the lack of post! Back to regular postings on Monday!

DO OR DON'T: Ugg Boots?

Being comfortable is number one for me! Maybe that's why in the fall and winter I'm obsessed with wearing Ugg boots. Many people seem to think that they are 'unfashionalble' but I love having warm feet! I feel like Uggs  make an outfit more laid back and warm. They have all different styles of Uggs; some with glitter, some with buttons, some plain, and that gives you a lot of options. I personally like the plain ones.
I feel like when the weather is extremely cold,
you sometimes have to sacrifice fashion for warmth!
I think that Ugg boots are a DO!

In the comments below let me know your opinion on Uggs. Are they a DO OR DON'T?

DIY: Dark Brown Sugar Scrub

Since the weather has been changing, and its now extremely cold (tear), my skin has been so dry and irritated. I've been on the search for a good scrub that I can make at home and thanks to The Beauty Department I found one that I LOVE and it's so simple. Below are the ingredients! You can use this on your feet, knees, elbows, you name it, but be careful on using it on your face, because your face can be very sensitive.
Try it out and in the comments below let me know what you think!

TVD Series: Elena Gilbert

Today’s post kicks off my new TVD Series! If you have never seen the show, click here to get an idea! But, I'm starting off with my favorite Character Elena Gilbert!

Elena's style is very young, and girly with a punk edge. Elena wears a lot of basic things and she loves leather jackets! Her make-up is always kept minimal, and her hair is usually straight. Her style is so easy to achieve, and any girl can rock it!

Below are some pieces and ideas put together of how to achieve her look.
In the comments below, tell me what character you want in my next TVD post!

TVD Series!

If you read my October Favorites post, then you know that I'm a HUGE fan of The Vampire Diaries! Theres something about that show that keeps me wrapped tight, that I count down the days till Thursday all week long.
All the characters in the show are GORGEOUS! Each one of them has their own personal style, and a part of me loves each of them for a different reason. So, for the next couple of weeks, I will be putting together a series of post on how to achieve each of the characters looks. So be sure to check back tomorrow for the first post; Elena Gilbert!

October Favorties!

It seems like October flew by, and I can't believe that its already NOVEMBER. I'm loving every second of fall since it is my favorite season; the leaves are all changing colors, Halloween just past, and all my food and drinks are spice with a little cinnamon making me feel all warm :) Below are my favorite things for the month of October.

I have a lot of fun with the color I paint my nails, especially during the fall! I love dark, rich colors. Above are just some suggestions on colors to try out! They are all so different, and will make a big statement.

Since the weather is getting cooler, it gets harder and harder to wear cute dresses and skirts without my legs freezing! That's where there these babies come in - TIGHTS. They are so much fun, and can totally make an outfit look alot better. There so many options and styles to choose from whither you want color or a pattern, or both! Give them a try next time its a little chilly, and they will keep you warm & stylish :)

I remember being little and my mom always trying to get me to wear a Jean jacket, and I remember how much I HATED it. Now, I pretty much wear mine everyday! They come in so many different washes and styles that its easy to work into your wardrobe. Jean Jackets are my fall MUST have.

So this fall I discovered the new show Pan Am, and I am OBSESSED! Its basically about
all these Pan Am stewardesses in the 1960's. The show has a great story line, and I love all the characters. Also, Vampire Diaries which I have been in love with since day one. It gets better and better!

In the comments below let me know what YOU loved in the month of October!
